It is based on the 1999 Cricket World Cup and was officially licensed by the International Cricket Council. The game allows the player to select four distinctive modes: quick game, friendly, world cup tournament and super 6 tournament. The game received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its batting and bowling mechanisms but criticism for its graphics and gameplay. The game was developed by a team of 12 people at Krisalis Software in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and was released in 2000.
